Over the years, Kroll has transformed pioneering insights into professional cosmetic products, anticipating market needs and adopting a sustainable approach from the very beginning.

The stages of our journey

Since day one, Kroll has distinguished itself in the professional cosmetics sector. From our renowned hand cleansers to the latest green technologies, every milestone tells a story of growth based on research, sustainability and passion for the industry.

1979

Kroll is founded and begins its activity with the production of a single product: hand cleaning paste.

1982

We introduce the first alternative products to hand cleaning paste on the Italian market: liquid soaps and microgranular gels that meet increasingly specific needs.

1986

A year that marks a turning point thanks to a key insight: we feel the need to change our work philosophy and begin producing with natural plant-based raw materials from renewable sources.

1989

Thanks to the work carried out by the research and development department, we are the first to produce orange hand cleanser gel.

1996

The company moves to its new headquarters in Quarto d’Altino (Venice), with 1,600 square meters dedicated to research and production.

1999

We become founding members of Kyoto Club Italia, an association committed to achieving greenhouse gas emission reduction targets.

1999

Kroll is the first company in Italy to design and patent packaging for professional hand cleansers with a built-in dispenser.

2000

We create BAG VOLFLEX® pouches as an alternative to bottles and cans.

2002

We obtain UNI EN ISO 14001 certification.

2003

Kroll is the first Italian cosmetics company to obtain EMAS Community Registration.
In the same year, we obtain UNI EN ISO 9001 certification, developing an integrated management system compliant with the UNI EN ISO 14001 standard.

2004

We design a specific packaging line for the production of bags and their automatic filling.

2008

We are the first in Europe to obtain the Ecolabel certification IT/030/001 in the Soaps and Shampoos category.

2012

BioKroll® is launched, a complete line of certified organic products formulated with high-quality plant-based raw materials from renewable sources and organic farming.

2013

We design a second BAG VOLFLEX® line.

2014

The Tango dispenser for BAG VOLFLEX® is created for use with BioKroll® products.

2016

We update our corporate image to make it more modern and appealing.

2020

We develop new products using innovative natural plant-based abrasives obtained from renewable sources such as corn, micronized olive pits and micronized walnut shells.

2021

Black Line is born. The first line of professional hand cleansers with Vegetable Activated Carbon – Detox.

2024

We are the first to formulate a line of professional products with an innovative complex of Prebiotics and Postbiotics.

2025

The executive design of the new production site begins.
